There is no better way to start a Tuesday than with a first-time driving test pass! Huge congratulations to Isla, who “smashed” her test this morning in Lichfield on her very first attempt.
Isla’s journey was a little different from most. She was already an excellent driver, but when her previous instructor faced some personal challenges, I was more than happy to step in and help her get across the finish line. It felt a privilege to work with someone who was already so test-ready; my role was simply to add the finishing touches to her already high standard of driving.
Passing a driving test on the first go is a massive achievement, and it is a testament to the hard work and effort Isla and Lynn her original Driving Instructor put into every lesson.

When a learner is already “test-ready,” the focus shifts from learning basic car control to mastering the “finishing touches.” For Isla, this meant refining her observational skills and ensuring her consistency was high enough to meet the DVSA examiner’s standards.
